About Chesapeake Climate Action Network and US Climate Emergency Council

The Chesapeake Climate Action Network (CCAN) is a grassroots, nonprofit organization dedicated to mobilizing citizens in Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C. to foster a rapid societal switch to clean energy and energy-efficient products in the fight against global warming. The U.S. Climate Emergency Council is a newly-formed organization based in Washington, D.C. that organizes nationally-coordinated climate change actions while assisting and supporting local and state groups around the country.
